| The Burkhart class fuel tanker shuttle was designed for exclusive use by Azhanti High Lightning class cruisers. These are very basic craft, intended to collect fuel for return to the cruiser, while maintaining a minimal electronic signature, consistant with combat operations. Their duration when filled with their maximum 4,500 kiloliters of fuel would be over half a year. However, these craft are designed for missions of only 24 hours or less, and have no long term accomodations. In case of need, however, the cargo hold can be configured with self-contained living quarters, although this is not normal procedure. |
