Querion Subsector
| The Querion subsector is a remote frontier region, sparse in worlds and difficult for many commercial ships to pass through. Nearly the entire subsector is claimed by the Zhodani Consulate, although only a handful of worlds at its coreward edge are actually under Zhodani rule. Both the Sword Worlds and the Darrian Confederation lay claim to the triple worlds of Winston (0620), Anselhome (0820), and Entrope (0720). The Imperium backs Darrian claims; the Zhodani Consulate backs the Sword Worlds claim. The Sword Worlds have occupied the three worlds since the end of the Third Frontier War. The Imperium established a research station in the Retinae system (0416) in 556; at that time the system was part of the Imperium. Despite the relinquishment of the system (along with all other possessions in the subsector) in 986, the research station has been maintained, and is a source of continual friction with the Zhodani. The Imperial Navy maintains a courier route with the Imperial frontier at Frenzie (1116) via Thanber (0717). Extensive lanthenum deposits have been reported at Bael (0218). Asmodeus (0512) is reported to be recovering from a nuclear war which ended in 1005. |
